The panels are built

here are the finished panels for my new piece. you can see the different depths each compared to each other so they will recede into the wall. might call it “A Day in the Life”

Sketch

the idea is to show a day in the like of a city. the first panel on the left will show the sunrise. the next panel to the right will show the daylight hours. the square in the middle will be a mandala showing the city as you look up. the next panel will be the  sunset and the final panel in the upper right will be night. these will be hung together as one piece.

In the city, our daily lives are filled with man-made objects, straight lines, right angles, unnatural colors, and the juxtaposition of ideas and objects creating a grand mixture of images, colors and forms

Downtown L.A. 2012, i like the black and white with the negative space working. i also like the glow coming from the bottom kind of lifting it all up
